CURRENT EVENTS
OFF TO KENYA
Jenn & Janette are off to Kenya the end of September to meet with program partners, gov't officials, USAID and many others, in order to start the process of filling our beds at Gail's House. A detailed update, pics and video will be posted on our website upon our return. Thank you to all for your continued support!

FINALLY - GAIL'S HOUSE IS COMPLETE!
We have completed roughly 95% of construction on Gail's House after years of wading through 3rd world politics, corruption and violent elections that kept Kenya at a standstill for months. It's the first and only 100% solar powered orphanage in all of Kenya. Nomad staff will be heading over October 5th to work on selecting children, hiring staff etc. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a reality!

A NEW DOCUMENTARY IN THE WORKS
Nomad Films will be starting production on a new documentary, The Island In Between, with filming set to begin July 2010. The film will be shot entirely on St. Lawrence Island, located some 230 miles west of Nome, 38 miles from Siberia.  - With one of the highest suicide rates in the nation, home to 1,900 Yupik people, can they come together as a community to save 2,000 yrs worth of history, culture and family as time marches forward into the 21st century.

$AWARDED $32,000 IN FILM GRANTS!

Thank you to our student sponsors here in the US for sending cards and gifts to your kids in Kenya. We will be sure to hand deliver every item and send you photos upon our return. You've given these kids a chance at life by paying for their school fees. We continue to be in awe of peoples kindness during these rough economical times. Thank you.

NOMAD AWARDED YET ANOTHER ROTARY GRANT
